Making cantatas close by
Cantatekaravaan brings early music to places where concerts of this level are not a given. Your contribution goes to musicians, rehearsal space, sheet music, instruments, transport, venue hire, programmes and everything needed to let music sound wherever people gather. From village church to estate, from primary school to country house.
Musicians & rehearsals
Professional musicians, rehearsal days, coaching sessions - quality starts with good preparation.
Venues & logistics
Churches open their doors, but transport, music stands, chairs and coffee must also be arranged.
Accessibility
We deliberately keep tickets accessible so everyone can come and listen. Donations make that possible.
Tax
Your gift may be deductible
Stichting Maria Magdalena Cantorij is recognised by the Dutch Tax Administration as a cultural public-benefit foundation. This means:
Ordinary gifts
One-off gifts are deductible above a threshold of 1% of your aggregate income (maximum 10%) under Dutch tax rules.
Regular gifts
Recorded in an agreement of at least five years: fully deductible, without a threshold. The most advantageous way to give under Dutch tax rules.
Legacies
A legacy to a Dutch public-benefit foundation is exempt from inheritance tax. Everything you leave benefits Cantatekaravaan in full.
